Shayan Sharifzad PhD ,EIT

Dr.Shayan Sharifzad, EIT has a diverse work experience in the field of civil engineering. In 2016, they worked as an Assistant Manager at AMAX Care Services, Inc., where they directed office staff, communicated with stakeholders, and prepared financial reports.

In 2021, Shayan worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at both CUIRE and The University of Texas at Arlington. At CUIRE, they focused on culvert rehabilitation design methodology development through laboratory testing and finite element analysis. At the University of Texas at Arlington, they served as a STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant and a Graduate Research Assistant while pursuing their PhD.

In 2021, Shayan also worked as an Associate Civil Engineer I at Marfay, where they prepared project design work, developed complex designs, and created technical specifications. Shayan then joined SAFEbuilt in 2022 as an Associate Civil Engineer, where they were involved in various projects such as sanitary sewer rehabilitation and paving, water, and sanitary sewer improvements for the City of Fort Worth, Texas.

Before pursuing their PhD, Shayan worked as a safety and steel structure construction supervising engineer and a quality control supervising engineer at Housing Cooperative Company of staff of Tehran Education Department, dist3 national IDcode10100940662. Shayan'sresponsibilities included ensuring compliance with building specifications, controlling building materials, and overseeing welding and quality control in structural steelwork. Shayan also worked as a waste water treatment installations supervising engineer, where they designed and implemented septic tanks and water pumps.

Shayan Sharifzad, EIT has a diverse education history. Shayan obtained their Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, graduating between the years 2014 and 2016. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington, with an expected completion date between 2021 and 2026.

In addition to their educational degrees, Shayan has also acquired several certifications. Shayan received the "Concrete Constructability" certification from the American Concrete Institute in February 2023. In May 2022, they earned the "Google Project Management Certificate" from Coursera. Furthermore, they acquired the "Anchorage Design Certificate Program" from the American Concrete Institute in March 2022, and the "Concrete Repair Application Procedures" certification in October 2021. Shayan also obtained various certifications from the American Concrete Institute in August 2021, including "Fundamentals of Concrete Construction" and "Fundamentals of Concrete and Materials."

Moreover, Shayan has completed several certifications related to software and technical skills. Lastly, Shayan became a certified Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) through the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists in December 2019.
