Salome Shah

Salome Shah has worked in various roles across several companies since 2010. Salome began their career as a Research Assistant at the UC Berkeley Institute of Personality & Social Research, where they conducted studies on altruism, emotions, moral judgments, and more. In 2013, they joined StartX as an Operations Manager, Recruitment Director, and Education Director. At StartX, they conducted a full organizational audit, built new systems and processes to allow StartX to scale, led volunteer and full-time recruitment, and led initiatives on the finance team. In 2015, they moved to Branch as a Finance Manager, where they were responsible for creating key operations processes to enable Branch to scale. In 2019, they joined Transcend as the Head Of Operations and was the first full-time hire. Her role entailed managing, building, and strategizing all key business operations functions such as HR, People Operations, Accounting/Finance, Recruitment, and Security/Privacy. Most recently, in 2021, they joined SafeGraph as the Senior Director of Operations and then the Director of Operations.

Salome Shah completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of California, Berkeley from 2009 to 2013. Salome also completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology at the University of Melbourne in 2012.
