Wayne Matus has extensive work experience in the legal field, particularly in privacy and information law. Wayne is the Co-Founder, EVP, and General Counsel at SafeGuard Privacy since 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Managing Director in Group Legal and Group Investigations at UBS from 2012 to 2018. Before joining UBS, Wayne was a Partner and Practice Leader in the Information Law and eDiscovery Group, as well as the Co-Practice Leader in the Privacy Law Group at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman from 2007 to 2012. Throughout their career, Wayne has earned recognition for their expertise and leadership in these areas.
Wayne Matus's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University. Wayne further pursued higher education at New York University School of Law, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
