John Welch

John Welch has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies. John started their career as a Market Research Intern at IDC in 2006 and later worked as a Wind Fleet Intern at General Electric (Energy) in 2009. From 2010 to 2013, they served as a Strategy Consultant at CSC, where they implemented a healthcare program for 9/11 first responders and survivors.

In 2013, John joined athenahealth as a Healthcare Transactions Associate and later became a Senior Patient Access Associate. John then took on roles as a Product Manager and Senior Product Manager, where they launched new services and led initiatives for modernization on the public cloud. In 2019, they became the Senior Manager of Product Strategy and eventually the Director of Product Management, overseeing the development of the athenaOne mobile app and the athenaOne Voice product suite.

Currently, John is the Head of Product at SafelyYou, starting in 2022.

John Welch attended Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management from 2006 to 2010. John completed their Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises, as well as Public Policy.
