Fred Burns

Fred Burns has been working in the tech industry since 2010. In 2010, they began as an Intern IT Technician at Miller Transporters, Inc., where they fixed hardware issues on PCs and laptops, and maintained servers. In 2013, they were an Intern Software Developer at C Spire, designing and coding corporate web applications. In 2014, they worked as an Intern iOS Mobile Application Developer at IMS, developing native applications with Xcode and Objective C. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at American Airlines as a Full Stack Developer, an iOS Software Developer, and a Backend Java Developer. In 2019, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Verizon and an iOS Engineer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. In 2021, they became a YC S21 at Y Combinator, and they are currently a Founder at Safer Management, Inc.

Fred Burns obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering from Mississippi State University from 2009 to 2011 and then a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering from Jackson State University from 2011 to 2014. In February 2019, they also obtained a certification in Swift: Delegations and Data Sources from LinkedIn.
