David Van Bruwaene

David Van Bruwaene has worked in various roles since 2004. From 2004-2006, they were a Lecturer at the University of Waterloo, and a Teaching Assistant and Lecturer at Cornell University. In 2014, they were a Lecturer at the University of Waterloo and a CEO and Lead Data Scientist at Visr. In 2018, they became a Director at SafeToNet Ltd. Currently, they are the Co-Founder and CEO of Fairly AI.

David Van Bruwaene began their educational journey in 1998 when they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from the University of Waterloo. David then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Philosophy, specializing in Logic, from the same university in 2003-2004. Following this, they attended Cornell University from 2004-2007, where they earned a MA in Philosophy, with a focus in Logic and Language. In 2006-2009, they were a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, studying Logic and Philosophy of Science. Finally, they returned to Cornell University from 2007-2014, where they were a Candidate for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philosophy with a minor in Cognitive Science.
