Steve Lee is an experienced System Safety Engineer with a diverse background in aviation and defense. Currently serving as a System Safety Engineer at DCS Corp since February 2019, Steve provides expertise in support of US Army robotics and automation within the Ground Vehicle Systems Command. As the owner of Southern States Safety Engineering since December 2010, Steve specializes in hazard analysis, software safety engineering, and safety requirements verification for DOD and commercial systems. Previous roles include Staff System Safety Engineer at Safety Research Corporation of America, Principal System Safety Engineer at Regulus-Group, LLC and Textron AirLand, as well as extensive experience at L-3 Communications Display Systems, Rockwell Collins, and The Boeing Company, where responsibilities encompassed hazard analysis for avionics systems and management support for significant military programs. Steve's earlier career included service as a CW2 pilot in the US Army, flying various helicopters. Steve holds a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
