Javier Díaz-Alonso

Javier Díaz-Alonso is the Senior Vice-President of Research & Technology, Business Development, and Synergies at Safran - Navigation & Timing since January 2022, also serving as CEO of SED Spain. Previously, Javier held the position of Special Project Unit Director, focusing on innovative PNT technologies in collaboration with industry partners. With a strong background in critical infrastructure and national defense as Principal Product Manager at Orolia, Javier's expertise extends to academia, where Javier has been a Full Professor at the Universidad de Granada since December 2018, conducting research on time transfer and embedded systems while also teaching about these subjects. As a co-founder and former CEO of Seven Solutions, Javier led the development of ultra-accurate timing solutions. Educational credentials include a PhD in Electronic Engineering from Universidad de Granada, earned between 2002 and 2006.
