Giovanni Raimondi

Giovanni Raimondi is a prominent technical leader in the aerospace electrical systems sector, with extensive experience at Safran from 2013 to the present, where roles include Machines and Drive Systems Technical Director, Fellow Expert, and Head of Engineering - Systems. Giovanni has effectively led the establishment of a new organization within the Power Division and managed a team of about 200 engineers, focusing on high-performance electrical power systems for air mobility applications. Prior to Safran, Giovanni held various engineering and management positions at Goodrich, contributing significant technical expertise in electrical power generation and distribution systems for aircraft, including the Bell 525 and Dassault Falcon 7X. Giovanni's early career included research roles at the University of Sheffield and R&D at Dyson. Academic qualifications comprise a PhD in Control of Electrical Machines from the University of Sheffield, an MSc in Control Systems, and a MA in Engineering Science from the University of Cambridge.
