Stephanie Choo

Stephanie Choo has served as Partner, Portage Ventures at Sagard since 2016. Stephanie is passionate about backing the next generation of fintech entrepreneurs and invests in early-stage and growth-stage opportunities globally. She is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management. Within the investment portfolio, Stephanie currently serves on the boards of Albert, Atomic Financial, Fondeadora, and Conquest Planning. She is based in New York and Toronto.

Prior to Sagard, Stephanie led a team that built and launched a digital advice platform in Canada that now serves over two million Canadians. Prior to that, she was an early employee at a payments startup developing mobile banking solutions and was also a management consultant at BCG focused on financial services.

Stephanie holds a B.Comm. from Queen’s University.
