Bruce Hoff

Bruce Hoff has over 27 years of work experience. Bruce started their career at HRL Laboratories as a Sr. Member of the Technical Staff from February 1993 to January 2000. Bruce then worked at BioDiscovery as the Director of Analytical Sciences, where they managed the development of BioDiscovery's Array Results Manager analytics module and developed novel approaches for statistical and pathway analysis. From 2006 to 2009, Bruce worked at Rosetta Inpharmatics, LLC, Merck & Co., Inc., first as a Senior Systems Architect and later as a Department Manager. In these roles, they designed and implemented systems for processing and managing genomic data and managed software development projects. Bruce then joined Covance as a Sr. Manager from August 2009 to November 2010, where they initiated, prioritized, and tracked software development projects for the Covance Genomics Laboratory. Currently, Bruce is at Sage Bionetworks, where they have held multiple roles since November 2010, including Sr. Software Engineer, Principal Software Engineer, and currently as the Director of Software Engineering.

Bruce Hoff has a strong academic background in the field of Computer Science. Bruce obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they studied from 1980 to 1983. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 1984. Continuing their education, Bruce attended the University of Southern California, where they completed their doctoral studies and earned a PhD in Computer Science from 1986 to 1992.
