Joni Harker

Joni Harker has a strong background in cloud infrastructure engineering and software development. They most recently worked at Sage Bionetworks as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer starting in July 2022. Prior to that, Joni was a Lead Software Engineer at Mastercard from May 2020 to July 2022. They also worked as a Reliability/Performance Engineer at NWEA from February 2020 to May 2020. Joni's experience includes serving as a Senior Software Engineer at SUSE from July 2017 to October 2019, an Automation Developer at IBM from November 2016 to July 2017, and a Cloud Engineer at Hewlett-Packard from September 2012 to October 2016. In addition to their technical roles, Joni held positions such as Unix/Linux Systems Administrator at The Computer Action Team @ PSU from March 2010 to September 2012, and President and Treasurer at Phi Delta Theta, Oregon Epsilon from October 2009 to June 2011. They also served as Treasurer for the Association for Computing Machinery, Portland State University from May 2010 to May 2011. Joni's experience includes work in cluster administration, debugging, teaching, and leadership roles.

From 2008 to 2012, Joni Harker attended Portland State University, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree. During their time at the university, Joni studied a combination of Computer Science and Applied Linguistics.
