Dr. Tamar Kataroyan currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources at Sage Oak Charter Schools, a position held since July 2025. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Executive Director of Special Education at Temple City Unified School District from July 2019 to June 2025. Dr. Kataroyan also served as Principal at Yorba Linda Middle School within Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District from July 2017 to June 2019 and as Elementary School Principal at Monrovia Unified School District from July 2014 to June 2017. Earlier career experiences encompass the role of Assistant Principal at Glendale Unified School District from July 2006 to June 2014 and Teacher and Varsity Basketball Coach at Clovis Unified School District from July 2003 to June 2006. Dr. Kataroyan earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Education from the University of Southern California (2010-2013), a Master’s in Educational Administration from California State University, Fresno, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UC Irvine.
