Jacob Wangsgard

Jacob Wangsgard has a diverse work experience in the field of research quality assurance and compliance. Jacob is currently working as an Associate Director of Research Quality Assurance at Sage Therapeutics, where their responsibilities include assessing and implementing risk mitigation measures, providing guidance on regulations and quality systems, and leading audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Before joining Sage Therapeutics, Jacob worked as a Senior Manager of Quality & Compliance at Precision For Medicine from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they focused on maintaining inspection readiness and regulatory compliance of the company's global organization.

Prior to that, Jacob held roles at Premier Research from 2018 to 2019, where they served as a Senior Auditor responsible for ensuring inspection readiness and regulatory compliance. Jacob also provided training and supervision to junior auditors and contributed to process improvement initiatives.

Jacob's experience in quality assurance and compliance extends to Worldwide Clinical Trials, where they worked as a Senior Quality Study Representative and a Senior Quality Assurance Auditor in 2017. Jacob was involved in overseeing clinical oversight programs and conducting audits to ensure compliance with regulations.

From 2014 to 2017, Jacob worked as a Quality Assurance Auditor and Quality Assurance Associate at PRA Health Sciences. Jacob was responsible for ensuring compliance with protocols, SOPs, FDA regulations, and guidelines.

Earlier in their career, Jacob held positions at PRA Health Sciences - CRI Lifetree Division and CRI Lifetree, where they gained experience in managing clinical site operations, coordinating regulatory documents, and supervising research staff.

Jacob started their career in clinical research as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Advanced Research Institute, where they recruited subjects, conducted informed consent discussions, and performed protocol-required procedures.

Throughout their career, Jacob has demonstrated a strong emphasis on compliance, quality assurance, and process improvement in the clinical research industry.

Jacob Wangsgard completed their Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Western Governors University from 2014 to 2018. Before that, they obtained an Associate's Degree in General Studies from Weber State University, completing it in 2007. Additionally, Jacob has achieved certifications in CompTIA Project+ from CompTIA in August 2016 and Certified Clinical Research Professional from SoCRA in February 2010.
