John Bougher

John Bougher has several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. John worked at Sage Therapeutics as a Sr. Scientist, focusing on Chemistry Operations and Technical Writing. Prior to that, they were employed at Cambrex, where they held roles as a Sr. Proposal Operations Manager and a Sr. Technical Writer. Before joining Cambrex, they worked at Chimerix, Inc. as a Research Scientist II and Research Scientist. John also briefly served as a Consultant during their time at Chimerix. John's career started as a Medicinal Chemist Intern at GlaxoSmithKline, where they were an integral part of the active drug development research efforts.

John Bougher has a strong education background in the field of Chemistry. John attended Allegheny College from 2003 to 2007 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry. Following this, they pursued further studies at Ohio University from 2007 to 2015, where they earned a Ph.D in Organic Chemistry.
