Mike Hay

Mike Hay has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mike is currently serving as the Director of Chemical Development at Sage Therapeutics since July 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Associate Director of Chemical Development at the same company from July 2021 to July 2023.

Before joining Sage Therapeutics, Mike had a long tenure at Bristol Myers Squibb. Mike started as a Research Investigator in February 2008 and worked their way up to the position of Associate Scientific Director in December 2020. During their time at Bristol Myers Squibb, they held various roles including Senior Research Investigator II from April 2014 to October 2018, Senior Research Investigator I from November 2010 to March 2014, and Research Investigator from February 2008 to November 2010.

Mike began their career as a Coop Student at McNeil Consumer Healthcare in 2000 and also worked as a Coop Student at Johnson & Johnson in 2002.

Mike Hay completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Penn State University from 1997 to 2002. Following that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the University of Michigan from 2002 to 2007.
