Ruta Sawant

Ruta Sawant is an experienced professional in health economics and outcomes research, currently serving as Associate Director at Sage Therapeutics since May 2021. Previously, Ruta held the position of Senior Manager and Manager, Global Immunology at AbbVie, where the focus was on leading HEOR strategy for upadacitinib (RINVOQ®) in rheumatoid arthritis. Earlier roles included research assistant/consultant at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, health economics intern at Biogen, and inflammation intern at Amgen, among others. Ruta holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes and Policy Research from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Mumbai.
