Jorge Villamayor

Jorge Villamayor is an experienced IT professional with a diverse background in project management, solution architecture, and experience design. Currently serving as the Experience Design Team Lead at Sage since March 2021, Jorge previously held positions including Global Solution Architect and IT Project Manager at Giesecke+Devrient, where responsibilities included collaborating with Product Managers and leading multiple IT projects for eSim solutions. With a solid foundation in research as a fellow at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Jorge has also contributed to the academic field as a professor in various computer science subjects. Early in the career, project management roles were undertaken at Konecta S.A. and SENATICs, focusing on innovative ICT applications for government services and mobile finance. Jorge holds a Ph.D. in Fault Tolerance in Cloud and Cluster Computing and a degree in Computer Science Engineering.
