However, due to Usee's lack of stable funding, Tom worked as an independent consultant during this period, taking on roles such as Sr Consultant and Program Manager in various industries.
Prior to Usee Inc, Tom held the position of VP Technology and Network at ILD Telecommunications from 2006 to 2009. In this role, they were responsible for all IT and Network operations for outsourced technical, network, and billing services.

Tom Watson received their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they studied from 1973 to 1977. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Systems Management at the University of Southern California from 1979 to 1981. In 1981 to 1982, they attended the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology to earn a Professional degree in Electrical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Tom Watson obtained the ITILv3 Foundation certification from the ITIL Certified institution in June 2010.
