Michael Lelito

Michael Lelito has extensive work experience in the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences industry. Michael began their career as a Freeze Drying Systems Service Engineer at BOC / Edwards Freeze Drying Systems in 1982. From 1991 to 2001, they worked at STERIS Inc. as a Project Manager and Engineering Technician, where they managed scientific capital equipment projects and conducted installation and operational qualification protocols.

In 2001, Lelito joined Getinge Inc. as a Life Sciences Project Manager, managing capital equipment projects for domestic and international customers. Michael then moved on to Wyeth Biotech in 2003, where they served as a Freeze Drying Systems Engineer, providing engineering support for Lyophilization Production and Maintenance operations.

Lelito joined Jacobs Engineering in 2008 as a Project Manager, focusing on Freeze Drying installations and qualification, as well as providing technical support for lyophilization equipment installation and troubleshooting. Michael continued their career at QualTec Services LLC in 2012 as a Project Manager, involved in the management of Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences equipment projects including new equipment and utility installations.

Currently, Lelito is working at Sagent Pharmaceuticals as a Technician in Engineering Controls, which they started in February 2023. Throughout their career, Lelito has been involved in various aspects of project management, equipment installations, qualifications, and technical support in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry.

Michael Lelito began their education at Niagara University from 1978 to 1980, where they pursued studies in Communications and Media Arts. Following this, they enrolled at Niagara County Community College from 1982 to 1983, focusing on Service Engineering in the field of Engineering Technology. In addition to their formal education, Michael obtained the RSES Refrigerant Usage Certification from RSES in September 1993.
