Courtney McLellan

Courtney McLellan has a long and varied work experience. Courtney began their career in 1997 as an Assistant Editor for the National Women's Studies Association, where they edited articles and book reviews, and proofread manuscripts. In the same year, they also took on a role as a Freshman Literature and Composition Instructor at Appalachian State University, where they were solely responsible for the instruction of four classes. In 1999, they became a Preferred Client Relationship Manager at Credit Suisse, where they lead a newly formed Preferred Client Group and traded specifically with high networth retail clients. In 2001, they were recruited to be a Teacher at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, where they successfully managed a classroom of struggling students with a track record of poor performance and disruptive behavior. In 2012, they became the Principal Owner of Team AchieVe. Finally, in 2022, they were appointed Director Of Business Development at Sagewell Financial.

Courtney McLellan began their educational journey in 1990 at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where they studied Classical Ballet. Courtney then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in English from Indiana University Bloomington from 1993 to 1997. Courtney then earned a Master of Arts in English from Appalachian State University between 1997 and 1999. Additionally, Courtney has obtained certifications from the CFA Institute as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) - Level 2 Candidate, and from the National Association of Securities Professionals as a NASD Series 7, 63 & 24 Licensed.
