Janet Monkres has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Janet began their career in 1990 as a Regional Sales Manager at American Greetings, where they eventually became the Executive Director of Sales. Janet then worked as a National Account Manager at Advo, overseeing sales for companies such as Papa John's and Goodyear Tire. At Elmer's Products, Inc., Janet served as the National Marketing Manager, responsible for hardware, school, and office supplies.

Following that, they were the Business Development Manager at Barnes and Noble, where they facilitated major author book signings and managed sales outside the store. Janet also had experience in property management at The City of Wichita Falls Texas, handling trustee properties and selling property to the public.

Janet later held the position of Marketing Liaison at Neighbors Emergency Center, responsible for all sales and marketing in Wichita County. Janet then took on roles at Holiday Retirement, first as a Sales Leader, where they achieved full occupancy within 10 months, and then as a General Manager.

Janet briefly served as the CEO/Executive Director at Habitat for Humanity International, overseeing all fundraising and building projects in Wichita County. Currently, Janet is the Marketing and Sales Director at Sagora Senior Living. Throughout their career, they have gained extensive experience in sales, marketing, management, and fundraising, while also developing strong skills in banking and property management.

Janet Monkres completed their general education at Bowie High School from 1977 to 1980. Following that, they pursued higher education at the University of North Texas, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in 1986.
