Marko Utriainen has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Marko currently works as a Board Member at STEK, a center that promotes electrical engineering and energy efficiency. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of Sähkö- ja teleurakoitsijaliitto STUL ry. Marko also held the position of Board Member at HeadPower Oy. Marko has extensive experience in the electrical engineering field, having served as President of SESKO Electrical Standardization in Finland, where they drove cultural change, selected new CEOs, and implemented customer-focused strategies. Before that, they were employed at ABB, where they held various roles, including SVP and Head of ABB Oy, Wiring Accessories, and Head of Product Management & Development. Additionally, they have held positions as a Board Member at SFS Finnish Standards Association, Ensto, and Sähkövoimatekniikan standardisoimisyhdistyksen säätiö. Marko started their career at Ensto Busch-Jaeger as an Export Manager & Product Manager and later as a Sales Manager. Throughout their career, Marko has demonstrated expertise in sales, product management, and development, as well as leadership and strategic planning.
Marko Utriainen obtained their M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan in the period of 1988 to 1995. Marko later earned a Specialist Vocational Qualification in Foreign Trade from Fintra in 2007. Furthermore, Marko also holds a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (ICYB) certification from Quality Knowhow Karjalainen Oy, obtained in 2017.
