Elissa Elvidge is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at SAHMRI since September 2023, focusing on the Life Long Health theme. Elvidge has over a decade of experience at the University of Newcastle, serving in various roles including Post-doctoral Research Fellow, Research Manager, Course Coordinator Lecturer, and Casual Tutor, with significant contributions to projects on cultural safety and health equity, particularly in Aboriginal communities. Previous experience includes a PhD candidacy at Hunter Medical Research Institute, where research examined cultural safety in health policy and practice. Elvidge has also held positions as a Project Officer at Hunter New England Local Health District, focusing on health promotion and surveillance projects. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Newcastle.
