Deepak Thakkar

Deepak Thakkar has a strong background in finance and accounts. Deepak currently holds the position of Vice President of Finance & Accounts at Sai Life Sciences Ltd starting from June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Biocon as the General Manager of Finance from October 2016 to June 2023. Deepak also served as the Assistant General Manager of Finance at Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd from July 2013 to November 2022. Deepak held the position of Finance Head at Torrent do Brasil from August 2008 to June 2013. Deepak also had various roles at Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd, including Manager of Finance from April 2006 to July 2008 and Assistant Manager from October 2004 to March 2006. Deepak started their career as a Finance Executive at Adani Group from July 2001 to October 2004.

Deepak Thakkar obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree (B.Com.) in Accounting and Finance from H.A. College of Commerce from 1995 to 1998. Deepak then pursued a Chartered Accountant certification from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, specializing in Accounting and Finance from 1996 to 1999. Subsequently, they completed their Master of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from Gujarat University from 1999 to 2001.
