Sebastiaan Knibbeler

Sebastiaan Knibbeler has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sebastiaan is currently working as the Chief Executive Officer at ControlRebels since the start of 2018. In this role, they are responsible for creating new business opportunities, managing current accounts, and overseeing complex implementations.

Previously, Sebastiaan worked as a Business Partner at SAI360 since April 2019. Prior to that, they had an extensive tenure at Nasdaq starting from April 2014 until April 2019. At Nasdaq, they served as a Business Partner, where they provided market-leading technology solutions and intelligence to businesses and investors. Additionally, they held the position of Regional Program Manager Australia (Ad interim) from September 2015 to June 2016 and worked as a Project Manager (Ad interim) from April 2014 to January 2015.

Sebastiaan also worked as a Consultant on Compliance Risk Management at NN Investment Partners from November 2013 to March 2014. Sebastiaan was responsible for risk analyses and provided advice and support on compliance matters in an international Asset Management environment.

Prior to that, they held various roles at Rabobank, EIFFEL, Kifid (Klachteninstituut Financiële Dienstverlening), Stedin, and Achmea, where they worked as a Business Consultant, Business Consultant (Ad Interim), Consultant, Project Manager (Compliance/Proces Control), and Project Manager (Solvency II), respectively.

Sebastiaan Knibbeler has a diverse education history spanning multiple disciplines. Sebastiaan completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Hoge School Brabant from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Law from Radboud University from 2003 to 2006.

In 2004 and 2005, Sebastiaan participated in the Erasmus program at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, where they focused on International Law. Later, in 2013 and 2014, they attended the Nederlands Compliance Instituut to become a Certified Compliance Professional (CCP).

Continuing their education, Sebastiaan achieved a Diploma in Tech Fundamentals from Code Institute in December 2020.
