Maya Gough

Maya Gough is a Senior Scientist specializing in Platform Discovery at Sail Biomedicines since December 2023. Previously, Maya held the position of Scientist II in Translational Biology at Senda Biosciences from September 2022 to December 2023, as well as Scientist I in Immunology at Vedanta Biosciences, Inc. from August 2021 to August 2022, where efforts focused on identifying biomarkers of immune response related to microbiome consortia in cancer and other conditions. Maya's experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Texas Biomedical Research Institute, researching TB-HIV co-infection in non-human primates, and graduate research fellowships at Houston Methodist and the University of Houston, concentrating on host-pathogen interactions and predictive modeling of disease progression. Maya earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Houston and a B.S. in biology and chemistry from Kent State University.
