Genevieve Sweigard

Genevieve Sweigard currently serves as the Director of Membership Services at the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Genevieve was the NEC Program Coordinator at the YMCA of Greater Saint John from November 2021 to June 2023, focusing on the Newcomer Employment Champion program to promote inclusivity and employee retention. Genevieve also held the title of Employment Liaison, facilitating connections between employers and clients through individualized counseling and group sessions centered on resume building and interview preparation. Earlier experience includes working as a Human Services Specialist at Key Industries from January 2020 to October 2021, where Genevieve supported high needs clients with personalized programs and group content during the pandemic. Genevieve holds a Certificate in Human Services from New Brunswick Community College, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from The University of British Columbia, an Associate of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Langara College, and a Certificate in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Vancouver Film School.
