Ryan Koon

Ryan Koon serves as the Dean of Faculty at Saint Joseph's Catholic School since August 2005, where responsibilities include advocating for faculty, onboarding new teachers, leading academic department chairs, and assisting with curriculum management and professional development. Prior to this role, Ryan was the Science Department Chair, overseeing faculty evaluation and curriculum review for grades 6-12, and also worked as a high school science teacher focusing on AP Biology and other science subjects. Ryan’s teaching career began as a middle school science teacher and transitioned to the position of high school biology teacher at Charleston Collegiate School. Ryan holds a Master of Science in Biology from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Furman University.
