Deborah Tavera

Deborah Tavera has extensive experience in procurement and financial operations. Deborah is currently the Director of Sourcing and Procurement at Saint Joseph's University, where they oversee the university's financial operations and implements strategies to increase efficiency. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Procurement at Drew University from 2019 to 2021. Deborah also held various roles at Florida International University, including Director of Administrative Services and Operations Manager in Procurement and Financial Operations. Additionally, Deborah worked at the Miami Dade Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces Department as a Parks Business Specialist, Parks Service Officer, and Clerk IV, where they performed audits, conducted research, and created documentation. Earlier in their career, Deborah was a Project Manager and Business Development Liaison at First American Title Insurance Company.

Deborah Tavera holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University, which they obtained between the years 2010 and 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in History from Rutgers University, where they studied from 2003 to 2008.
