James Carter is the current Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Saint Joseph's University. James previously served as a Fellow in the Public Intellectuals Program at the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations from August 2011 to July 2020. Prior to that, they were employed at Saint Joseph's University.
James Carter graduated from the University of Richmond with a BA in James'story and Philosophy. James then attended Yale University, where they earned a PhD in Chinese James'story. After completing their education, James Carter worked as a CET-Harbin.
James Carter reports to Cheryl A. McConnell, Interim President. James Carter works with Karen A. Pellegrino - Vice President, Enrollment Management, Tracey S. Pachman - Vice President and General Counsel, and Sarah F. Quinn - Associate Vice President and Chief of Staff.
