Erin Schaffer

Erin Schaffer has extensive experience in the field of financial aid. Erin is currently the Director of Financial Aid at Saint Martin's University since June 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of Financial Aid at Palm Beach Atlantic University from September 2021 to June 2023. During their time at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Erin demonstrated strong leadership skills and was responsible for overseeing the financial aid operations of the university. Erin collaborated with various departments and sat on committees to ensure the efficient delivery of financial aid services. Erin also played a key role in determining need-based institutional aid thresholds and merit structures for each cycle, as well as packaging aid for non-traditional, graduate, and returning students. Erin was also responsible for policy compliance, processing FAFSAs, awarding financial aid offers, and managing endowed and restricted funds. Additionally, they handled reporting duties and successfully filed the FISAP annually and other institutional, state, and federal reports.

Before their role as Director of Financial Aid, Erin worked as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Palm Beach Atlantic University from February 2019 to September 2021. In this role, they supported the Director of Financial Aid in various tasks including verification, packaging, and annual reporting. Erin also provided assistance to students by answering queries related to the financial aid process.

From August 2015 to February 2019, Erin served as the Coordinator for Accreditation, Assessment, and Research. In this position, they supported the Assistant Provost in preparing and maintaining compliance documentation, new program prospectuses, policies, and annual planning and assessment. Erin also facilitated the faculty credentialing process and produced faculty reports to meet accreditation standards.

Prior to their roles at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Erin worked as an Academic Operations Coordinator from September 2012 to August 2015. Their responsibilities included liaising with faculty and students, technology troubleshooting, managing assessments, generating reports, and facilitating training for new faculty. Erin also worked as a Transfer Evaluator from July 2011 to August 2012 and as a Records Coordinator from January 2009 to June 2011.

Erin Schaffer has a Master of Arts in Theology with a specialization in Theology and Culture from Fuller Theological Seminary, which they obtained in 2021. Prior to that, they pursued Graduate Coursework in Christian Studies at Palm Beach Atlantic University from 2016 to 2017. Erin also completed Graduate Coursework in English Literature at Florida Atlantic University from 2014 to 2015. In 2008, they earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Palm Beach Atlantic University. In addition to their academic qualifications, Erin Schaffer has obtained a certification in "Querying Data with Transact-SQL" from Microsoft in 2019.
