Francisco Chavez

Francisco Chavez, MBA is the Chief Information Officer at Saint Mary's College of California. Francisco has lead IT Services through several key strategic initiatives over the past eight years, combined with his focus on education technology make him a natural for the role.

He is a self-motivated leader and was a key contributor to the SMC IT Fitness Program that helped prepare Saint Mary's College for the future.

He has the ability to relate to all levels of the organization and to focus on what it takes to get the job done. His attention to customer support extends across the SMC community to assure ongoing classroom dependability and efficiencies in administrative processes. He values relationships with the various constituencies and the opportunity for IT to partner with them to improve services and align with strategic values.

IT Services is comprised of several services, including Educational Technology, Classroom AV Support, Service Desk, Systems, IT Security, Infrastructure and Operations, Desktop Client Support, Administrative Information Services and Web Services.
