Ilkka Kaukoranta started their work experience as a Trainee at Statistics Finland in May 2008 and ended in February 2009. In May 2009, they interned at the European Central Bank until October 2009. In May 2010, they briefly worked as a Holiday Substitute (Economist) at the Bank of Finland until September 2010. From September 2010, they joined SAK as an Economist and later became the Chief Economist in February 2017.
Ilkka Kaukoranta completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Helsinki, studying from 2005 to 2008. Ilkka then pursued a Master of Science degree from the same university, specializing in Economics and with minors in Statistics, Mathematics, and Environmental economics, from 2008 to 2009.
