Andrew Dai

Andrew Dai is a research engineer at Sakana AI since October 2024, previously serving as an AI researcher at Aleph Alpha GmbH from February 2022 to September 2024. Andrew gained initial experience as a research intern at Trinity College Dublin in late 2021, collaborating with Professors Aljosa Smolic. In addition to academic pursuits, Andrew co-founded the Autonomous Racing Group at Formula Trinity and contributed as an electronics team member from September 2017 to June 2019. Leadership skills were demonstrated as chairperson and IT officer of the TCD Chinese Society between August 2017 and April 2019, alongside an internship at MMA Consulting Engineers in mid-2018. Andrew holds a Master’s degree from the National University of Singapore and completed undergraduate studies at Trinity College Dublin, following secondary education at Tarbert Comprehensive School.
