Laura Ann Diehl currently serves as the Research Manager and Plant Breeder for Beetroot at Sakata Seed America, Inc., a position held since June 2015, after initially working as a Plant Breeder for both Beetroot and Pumpkin at the same company. Prior to this, Laura Ann Diehl was involved in academia at Texas A&M University, where engagement as a Plant Breeding Graduate Student and Research Assistant, as well as an Entomology Graduate Student and Research Assistant, spanned from August 2009 to May 2015. Laura Ann Diehl earned a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from Texas A&M University during the period of 2011 to 2015, following a Master’s degree in Entomology from the same institution from 2009 to 2011. An undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences was awarded by Clemson University between 2005 and 2009.
