Ashwin Kannan

Ashwin Kannan, CPA, is an accomplished financial professional with significant experience in financial reporting and accounting. Currently serving as Vice President of Financial Reporting & Accounting at Saks Global since October 2025, Ashwin previously held the position of Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting at Southwest Airlines from January to October 2025. Prior experience includes roles at Neiman Marcus Group, where Ashwin advanced from Manager of Special Projects & Accounting to Senior Director of Financial Reporting & Accounting from March 2020 to January 2025. Ashwin began a career at Crowe as a Senior Associate in Transaction Services and gained foundational experience at PwC as a Senior Assurance Associate, working across diverse sectors such as Hotels, Private Equity, and Technology. Academic qualifications include a Master in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston College.
