Irfan Asaad

Irfan Asaad is an experienced geological educator and practitioner affiliated with Salahaddin University-Erbil since October 2017, serving in various capacities including Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer, while also pursuing a PhD in Carbonate Sedimentology. Irfan's academic background includes a Master's degree in Sedimentology and Stratigraphy, a Higher Diploma in Geology, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology from Salahaddin University-Hawler. Previous roles include Geologist at MOL/Kalegran, where fieldwork and sample collection were key responsibilities, as well as Practical Lecturer at Noble Technical Institute, teaching drilling techniques and petroleum geology. Additionally, Irfan has extensive experience as an assistant geologist in laboratory settings.
