Robert Cates

Robert Cates has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Robert started their career at Sears Roebuck & Co. in 1985 as a Service Technician and worked there until 1990. From 1990 to 1991, they served as a Warehouse Manager at Paul B Williams Company. Robert then transitioned to a role as a Staff Accountant at Jackson Marlowe & Co. from 1995 to 1998. Following this, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer/Controller at Spectrum Laboratory Network from 1998 to 2001. From 2002 to 2006, they were a Senior Accountant at Craven Shelton & Gann. Robert then joined Councilman Farlow Marlowe & Co. PLLC as a Manager from 2006 to 2011. Their most recent position was as the Chief Financial Officer of Sales Factory, which they have been holding since 2011.

Robert Cates completed their Bachelor of Administrative Science degree in Accounting from Guilford College, where they studied from 1990 to 1993. Robert then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Liberal Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2002 to 2004. Prior to this, Robert attended North Carolina State University from 1985 to 1986, focusing on Engineering, although they did not obtain a degree from there.
