Mike McGinness

Mike McGinness has a diverse work experience that spans various roles in the IT field. Mike started their career at Comcast as a Customer Service Representative, providing technical support for VoIP and Internet services. Mike then transitioned to Best Buy as a Sales Consultant, specializing in Apple products and managing inventory.

After that, Mike joined IUPUI as a System Administrator Intern, where they gained experience in system administration and database management. Mike developed Group Policy Objects and set up a production database server.

Mike then joined Genesys as an IT Asset Management Specialist, managing the lifecycle of physical IT assets and addressing technical needs for North American employees. Mike also served as a System Support Specialist, managing major software systems and resolving incident tickets globally. Mike later transitioned to the role of Desktop Support Engineer, providing support for macOS, JAMF, and Apple hardware. Mike implemented JAMF Cloud to manage a large number of macOS machines within the company's infrastructure.

Following their time at Genesys, Mike worked at Lessonly as an Internal IT Specialist, overseeing the migration away from an IT Managed Services Provider and managing onboarding/offboarding processes for the macOS fleet. Mike also maintained and managed Cisco Meraki Access Points, Switches, and Firewall.

Currently, Mike is employed at Salesloft as a Senior IT Systems Engineer. Mike successfully implemented endpoint strategies for both macOS and Windows fleet, integrated Git and GitHub into the workflow, and implemented Okta Identity Engine for enhanced security and user access management.
