Kendra Howell, MPP, has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Kendra began their career in 1980 at Disneyland Resort, where they held a role in Corporate and Community Relations, Marketing, and Special Events. During their time there, Kendra represented Disneyland as the Disney Ambassador and official spokesperson, hosting foreign dignitaries, celebrities, and media. Kendra also made appearances and gave interviews on behalf of Disneyland at local hospitals, celebrations, and community events.

In 1994, Kendra joined Salinas Valley Health, starting as the Director of Corporate and Community Development. In this role, they worked with corporate and business leaders to align their volunteer and philanthropic efforts with the SVMHS Foundation and the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals program. Kendra oversaw the planning, organizing, and implementation of various programs and events and managed volunteers. Kendra also played a crucial role in administering the hospital's charitable giving, making decisions on grants totaling over $500,000 annually.
