Joshua Kapell

Joshua Kapell has an extensive work experience in the technology industry. Joshua started their career at H5 in 2000 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they played a crucial role in developing an enterprise search product. In 2003, they joined Endeca as a Principal Software Engineer and later became an Engineering Manager and Software Architect. Joshua contributed to the growth of the company from 15 to 100 employees and worked directly with customers to resolve critical support issues. At Oracle, which acquired Endeca in 2011, Joshua served as a Software Architect for the Big Data Discovery division. Joshua facilitated the integration of Endeca's analytics platform into Oracle products and developed the architecture for cloud services. Joshua then took on the role of CTO at Seen.co, where they led the engineering team and defined the product vision for an event summarization product. In 2015, they became the CTO at Katch.me, a consumer video platform that allowed creators to archive and distribute their content. Finally, in 2017, they joined Salsify as a Software Architect and later became the Director of Engineering before being promoted to the Senior Director of Engineering in 2021.
