Vern Waters

Vern Waters is a seasoned library professional with extensive experience in various roles within library services and management. Currently serving as Library Manager for Salt Lake County Library Services since February 2013, Vern has also held the position of Past President for the Utah Library Association from May 2019 to May 2020. Earlier experiences include serving as Campus Librarian at Broadview University and managing multiple branches at Weber County Library, where responsibilities included collection management, staff supervision, and program facilitation. A strong background in customer service was developed during time as a Bookseller at Barnes & Noble. Vern holds a Master’s degree in Library Science from Emporia State University and a Bachelor's degree in English and History from Weber State University.
