Katie Smith is an experienced journalist and digital media professional with a diverse background in reporting, editing, and social media management. Currently serving as a digital editor and social media manager at SaltWire Network since August 2017, Katie previously held roles such as reporter at Miramichi Leader and editor at The Free Press, where political coverage and editorial oversight were key responsibilities. With a foundation in marketing and communications from Music PEI and additional advertising experience at MBS Radio, Katie combines strong journalistic skills with expertise in digital content creation and audience engagement. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Diploma in Print Journalism from the University of Prince Edward Island and Holland College, respectively.
