Julian Magarey

Julian Magarey is an experienced patent professional currently serving as Patent Counsel and Patent Attorney at Saluda Medical since January 2021. Prior to this role, Julian worked as a Patent Attorney at ResMed from December 2012 to December 2020 and at Spruson & Ferguson from January 2008 to December 2012. Julian began career in intellectual property at CISRA, holding positions as Patent Engineer and Research Engineer from February 1999 to December 2007. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Cooperative Centre for Signal and Information Processing and an engineering role at Alcatel Australia. Julian holds a Master of Industrial Property from the University of Technology Sydney, a Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the University of Cambridge, a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Pure Mathematics from the University of Sydney. Education was completed at St Ignatius' College Riverview with a Higher School Certificate.
