Jaanus Liigand

Jaanus Liigand is a data scientist who has been with Salv for the past three years and 10 months. Jaanus is currently the lead data scientist and is responsible for developing data science tools to detect suspicious behavior of customers in banking with the aim to help fight financial crime and provide more efficient anti-money laundering tooling for banks and financial technology startups. Prior to joining Salv, Jaanus was a co-founder of Quantem Analytics, where they were responsible for making MS analysis quantitative without analytical standards. Jaanus was also a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Alberta, where they conducted research on HPLC/ESI/MS measurements to study ionization efficiencies in different media. Jaanus has also held positions as a visiting scientist at the University of Liège and The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, as well as a research chemist at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
