Berny Sagmeister

Berny Sagmeister has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Berny is currently the Geschäftsführer at Salzburg Öko GmbH, a position they started in October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Salzburg AG für Energie, Verkehr und Telekommunikation starting from April 2021. From 2017 to 2021, they held the role of Head of Digital Channels at A1 Telekom Austria AG. Before that, they worked at derStandard.at as the Bereichsleiter / Verlagsleiter Rubriken from November 2015 to June 2017. Berny also served as the VP of New Business at paysafecard.com from April 2014 to October 2015. Their experience includes roles in the music industry as well, including Head of Sales / Streaming Services at Universal Music Group from April 2013 to March 2014 and Director of Digital Sales & Business Development at EMI Music Group from January 2007 to March 2014. Prior to that, they worked at Tele2 as the Head of Product Management / Mobile from January 2004 to December 2006 and at Orange Austria Telecommunication GmbH as the Head of Product Management / B2C from January 2001 to 2004. Finally, from January 1997 to December 2001, they held the role of Head of International Marketing at Telekom Austria Group.

Berny Sagmeister earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Berny completed their studies at the university from 1992 to 1997.
