Faye Hobson

Director, Culture at Salzburg Global Seminar

Faye Hobson has a diverse range of work experience. Faye is currently the Director for Culture at Salzburg Global Seminar, where they lead programs that focus on arts, creativity, and new models of leadership. Faye is responsible for designing and implementing various program series and forums. Prior to this role, Faye worked as an Associate Program Director at Salzburg Global Seminar, where they designed and facilitated programs related to culture and the arts, as well as education policy. Faye also worked as a Program Manager for the Cultural Innovators Forum, a global network aimed at connecting and empowering rising talents in the creative sector. Faye's other experiences include serving as an Advisor for World in 2050 and being a Steering Committee Member for Karanga, an alliance that promotes social emotional learning and life skills. Faye has also worked as a Guest Lecturer at ISPI and a Mentor for the Cultural Relations Platform. Earlier in their career, Faye held roles such as Outreach & Engagement Officer at ArtsEkta and Community Arts & Outreach Officer at Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council. Faye also served as the Chairperson and Non-Executive Director for Belfast Platform for the Arts. Additionally, Faye has worked as an Arts Assistant at Castlereagh Borough Council and held a Research Fellowship at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2014.

Faye Hobson has a diverse education history. Faye began their educational journey in 2008 by obtaining a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design from the University Ulster. In 2009, they pursued their passion for photography and received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Photography from Falmouth University.

Faye's educational pursuits then shifted towards management practice. In 2012, they earned an Advanced Diploma in Management Practice from Ulster University. This qualification likely provided their with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of management.

In terms of professional development, Faye obtained certifications in Adobe Photoshop CS5 and the European Computer Driving Licence. These certifications suggest their interest and proficiency in digital imaging and computer literacy, respectively.

To further enhance their business acumen, Faye is currently pursuing an Executive MBA in International Business from MCI | The Entrepreneurial School™. This program, which started in 2022 and is expected to conclude in 2024, demonstrates their dedication to continuous learning and professional growth in the area of business and entrepreneurship.
