Nancy Carman has had a diverse range of work experience throughout their career. Nancy began as a Service Coordinator at Madison Home Healthcare Services in 1986 and later became a Director of Marketing at Mediq Review Services, Inc. In 1992, they became a Regional Manager at PT NET/Association of Physical Therapy Practitioners. Nancy then transitioned to the role of Regional Marketing Director at Progressions Health Systems, Inc. in 1995. In 1996, they became the Corporate Manager of ElderCare Services at Kennedy Health System, where they worked until 2002. Nancy then worked as a Your Health Columnist for Courier-Post from 1998 to 2003. Nancy also served as a Private Consultant and Director of Marketing Services at New Life Management & Development, Inc. from 2003 to 2009. Additionally, Nancy worked as a Technical Writer at My Guide for Seniors in 2004. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Geriatric Care Management at Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice's SeniorWise Care Management.

Nancy Carman completed the Guardianship Training program at The Guardianship Association of New Jersey, Inc. in 1998. Prior to that, they participated in the Interdisciplinary Geriatric Education Program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, which they completed in 1996. In 1976, they obtained a Master's Degree in Gerontology from the University of South Florida. Nancy also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Religion/Religious Studies from the University of Richmond, which they obtained in 1975. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the Geriatric Care Manager Certification from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers in 2000.

Samaritan

Samaritan is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian, independent organization locally founded in Moorestown, New Jersey in 1980. Samaritan is the regional leader for hospice care, palliative (comfort) medicine, primary care at home, transitional support, grief support and counseling, end-of-life education, and advocacy. Samaritan serves people in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Mercer counties who are coping with the stresses serious illness or grief in their homes, assisted-living, or nursing home communities and through two inpatient hospice centers: The Samaritan Center at Mt. Holly and The Samaritan Center at Voorhees. Thrift shop in Westmont supports Samaritan services and programs. Samaritan is accredited by The Joint Commission; a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO); the Home Care & Hospice Association of New Jersey; and is a four-star-level hospice in NHPCO’s We Honor Veterans program, created in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
