Glen Cousins

Glen Cousins is the Executive Director of Finance at Samaritans Foundation. Glen has over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting, including positions as Chief Financial Officer, Business Banking Manager, and Senior Manager.

Glen started their career in 1984 as a Senior Manager at EY. Glen then moved to National Australia Bank where they worked as a Business Banking Manager from 1992 to 1998. In 1999, they joined Australian Business Consulting & Solutions as a Senior Manager of Business Consulting.

In 2001, Glen became the Chief Financial Officer of Marathon Tyres. Glen held this position until 2004 when they moved to Babcock and Brown Power/Redbank Power as Commercial Manager. Glen stayed with the company until 2008 when they took a position as General Manager Commercial/CFO at ResCo Services Pty Ltd.

From 2008 to 2009, Glen also worked at Downer Mining as Commercial Manager. In 2014, they became the Director Corporate Services/CFO of Newcastle City Council in Australia. Glen held this position until 2017 when they joined Samaritans Foundation as Executive Director of Finance.

Glen Cousins has a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, General from the University of Newcastle. Glen also has a Master's degree in Applied Finance from Macquarie University. Glen Cousins is also a Member of the Accounting and Related Services Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

They work with Liz Knight - Executive Director, Education and Child Development, Georgina Chalker - Executive Director, Human Resources, and Orla Trickey - Executive Director, Quality and Risk. Glen Cousins reports to Coralie Nichols, Diocesan Chief Executive.
